I told myself I wasn’t going to spend more time than necessary setting up the blog but here I am . I figured 1 or 2 more days of adjusting for me to be somewhat satisfied and move on. The default template comes with a few things that I definitely want to change.
I went through the template to see if i could edit any HTML from the footer and header so thats easy. I am still new to Astro and the platform so baby steps. Im going to get rid of the example content on there so that should be easy.
Frontmatter is a pain in the ass. (PERIOD)
I removed tags and categories. Locally the page shows the changes perfectly ; on deployment, it does not WTF. update: Frontmatter cannot have empty or unfilled details . Also going to have to figure out how to autopopulate Frontmatter info on the Bear export markdown files. I keep forgetting
“ tags: _____“ (Results in error when building and deploying ). Either delete the whole thing or add tags.
Next issue: the BlogPostLayout.astro has this last modified date that I don’t want . Going to delete it and see whats up. its gone

Sticking to Astro documentation for help on this . Since I’m using markdown , the process for images is laid out by Astro here
